Down The Rabbit Hole
Project/Problem

Down The Rabbit Hole is an Indie music festival that hosts around 28,000 visitors each year and is in need of a new, fun unique visual identity for 2018 that matches the feel of the festival, which is experimental with a large focus on atmosphere and environment. The identity needs to comply with the nostalgic, psychedelic, incomprehensible, contemporary feel of the festival and be able to maintain the audience's interest.

The Intended Audience

The primary target audience for Down The Rabbit Hole is teenagers and college students in the Netherlands and surrounding European countries, that enjoy music festivals and the weird and wonderful. The secondary target audience is students and young adults from overseas countries.

The Colours

The chosen colours for the brief are Sorbus and Turquoise, and this is chosen to celebrate Dutch heritage. The original flag of the Netherlands was orange, white and blue and was based on the livery of Prince William of Orange, the first leader. Although the flag was changed to red, white and blue in the 1930s, orange is still the color of the Dutch Royal Family, which comes from the House of Orange. The color orange has come to symbolize the country, and to signify national pride.
